The GranTrapTM captures most bullets intact in a chamber filled with GranTexTM, a specially treated granular rubber material. Airborne lead dust at the trap is virtually eliminated, while bullet fragmentation and backsplatter are averted. The GranTrapTM is available in handgun and rifle versions for indoor or outdoor installations. Rubber Composite The Model LE3500 is one of Safe Shot's environmental bullet traps. The LE3500 consists of a series of hanging, overlapped vertical rubber lamellas in a special pattern that dissipates the energy from incoming bullets. Bullets are captured, essentially intact, preventing backsplatter, ricochet and lead dust. The LE3500 is suitable for rifles and handguns. It is available for indoor and outdoor installation. Back to top Steel Escalator Safe Shot's steel escalator bullet traps for rifles and handguns are designed to stop all bullets (except armor piercing) directed into the trap from the firing line. They are low maintenance and allow gathering of spent rounds in special lead collection trays. The traps are manufactured from heat treated steel and will provide many years of satisfactory service. Specially designed frames support the plates at the proper angle. Clearing Trap Safe-N-ClearTM is a clearing trap which provides a safe and secure means of clearing a firearm after unloading to protect against unintentional discharge. It is ideal for police stations, training areas, entrances to shooting ranges or any location where firearms are handled. The Safe-N-ClearTM trap is designed to handle ordinary handgun ammunition up to .44 magnum. [CASRAILTM][TROLLEY WIRE TARGET RETRIEVAL][ALPHATM TARGET MECHANISMS][DELTA TARGET SYSTEM] CasRailTM Target Retrieval The CasRailTM monorail target retrieval system allows shooters to remain in the shooting stalls and fire at various distances. The 180° turning model allows precisely timed courses of fire to be conducted and provides friend/foe target presentation for reactive response and decision making training. The system can be operated from a master control console, or individually from the shooter's booth. A non-turning version is also available. CasrailM Target Retrieval Trolley Wire Target Retrieval Trolley wire target retrieval systems are a low-cost means of transporting the target to and from the firing line when target turning is not required. One manual and two electrical models are available. The target carrier travels along a guide wire suspended between the firing line and the bullet trap. These systems feature simple and reliable construction with minimum maintenance required, and they are ideal for commercial and private ranges. AlphaTM Target Mechanisms The AlphaTM family of target mechanisms can be used in outdoor and indoor ranges. They present silhouette targets in pop-up, swing-up, swing-out, 90° or 180° rotation. Alphas are available as AC-powered, cable controlled or battery-powered, radio controlled. The mechanisms can be equipped with low level moonlight for night shooting and hit detectors which cause the target to conceal or fall when hit. DeltaTM Target System DeltaTM Target System The DeltaTM target system is a fixed, pad or wall mount, 90° target turning system. Target stands are mechanically linked together in banks of up to 20 stands each and are electrically or pneumatically controlled by a remote timer. Each series of stands is connected to a drive unit that exposes and conceals targets in the bank in unison. The Delta stands can use paper targets with cardboard backers, or clamp-on adapters can be fitted for silhouette targets. Back to top [RANGEMASTER 9000TM][MCCII][RADIO CONTROL][LOCAL CONTROLS] Rangemaster 9000TM The RM9000TM is a PC-based control system with easy-to-use pull-down menus. The system provides complete manual and automatic (preprogrammed) operation of the firing range, allowing simultaneous control of different types of target system, range lighting, firing line and door security, rangemaster call, signal lights and printer functions. RM9000TM can also monitor the ventilation system for malfunctions. MCC II The MCC II is a dedicated, microprocessor console which allows simultaneous control of all target systems in the range. The console allows manual, timed or up to 100 preprogrammed courses to be conducted in local or master control modes. In addition to the basic commands of Start, Stop, Pause and Continue, the program controls include Edit, Erase, Recall and Store. The operator can quickly program courses of fire on the MCC II. Radio Control Radio controls are used on portable ranges or when cable control is not practical. The microprocessor-based Range Controller will handle up to 200 targets in manual or programmed operation. All of the programming features available with the fixed control consoles are available in the Range Controller. The Range Controller has a non-volatile memory and can store up to 100 programs. Local Controls Local controls are available for SafeShot trolley wire and CasRailTM target retrieval systems. The trolley wire local control is a Forward-Reverse switch. The Model EF5 local control for the CasRailTM is a microprocessor-based controller which permits the individual shooter to program a complete single or multiple cycle shooting course or operate under manual control. It also accepts downloaded programs from the MCC II or RangeMaster 9000TM. A drop-down shelf and various types of swing-out barricades are available to enhance training. The clear Plexiglass® divider resists all handgun rounds from accidental discharge. The front of the stall has a blast shield to help isolate muzzle blast from adjacent shooters. BP10 Series Shooting Stalls The BP10 series of shooting stalls is constructed of a double wall steel liner enclosed in a molded ABS shell. A convenient alcove on the shooter's left contains the local control and intercom speaker. The stall has a drop-down shelf and is available with a variety of barricades for strong- and weak-hand shooting and blast shields for sound and muzzle flash reduction for adjacent shooters. Safety Ceiling and Baffles The safety ceiling and baffles are a series of panels using the "air-space" principle to capture misdirected shots and help prevent injury and structural damage to the range. Air-space panels have a plywood front mounted on a wooden frame with a steel safety backer panel. Acoustic material can be added to the plywood to help reduce the amount of noise and echo in the range. Shooting Stall Audio Intercom Systems An audio system allows two-way communication between the shooter and the rangemaster. The rangemaster may selectively communicate with an individual, a group or all shooters in unison. Additionally, paging speakers can be placed in the range for general announcements, and two-way terminals can be placed outside of the range at access doors to better control entry.
